Today's blog is offered by     "The Dish With Dean"

Sunday July 28, 2013 started out as a normal Sunday around the house. Having another couple over for a BBQ of which I was cooking fresh linguini with homemade little neck clam sauce. Normally I only drink red wine but it is Summer and time to explore the whites.
Mrs. Stollie has a favorite that I have tried several times so I thought, what the heck. I have to say that the Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio is a very nice white wine. Straw yellow in color with a clean, intense aroma. The taste is clean and refreshing. Overall I enjoyed it and after pairing this with the little neck poppers I made they worked very well together.
This being a day with RP and JP we know that the one bottle was not going to suffice us so on to the Blush.

l 'opale de la presque ile st tropez cote rose provence france
This wine pale pink in color with touches of rose was an amazing treat. At first thought, I imagined it was going to be sweet and fruity in that order. What a wonderful surprise when it hit my palate and it was soft and semi-dry.
Deliciously refined nose of spring flowers; mid-palate, floral notes continue with also a little lemon; longevity in palate as well. Fresh wine, pleasant and agreeable.

What came next was an amazing Pinot Noir.
2011 vintage of this amazing Oregon Pinot Noir has the advantage of becoming my house wine. Light and fruity with just the right character. truly an array of red and black fruits with a very nice structure. Paired well with the steak kabobs and shrimp and pineapple habanero kabobs we were grilling.
This wine is a must for your drinking pleasure from the Williamette Valley in Oregon.

What came next in this amazing day was what we were going to pair with a light dessert. A beautiful fruit platter of sliced fruits and champagne grapes.

This wine averages 88.5 points with all wine reviews. I had to offer this specific bottle a 90 rating. This wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon blend of red wine that should not be missed . An amazing nose of cherry and spice, this full bodied blend is very jammy making our fruit taste amazing and very cleansing to the palate.
Top Notch
Sipping With Stollie
